Symbria has an outstanding opportunity for a Director of Marketing.  The Director of Marketing oversees the marketing functions for Symbria, building the Symbria brand and expanding our mission throughout the senior health and wellness industry across the nation.  


This role is responsible for the marketing strategy for the organization and the functional support of the corporate brand identity. Strategically oversees and supports execution of creative and thought leadership, brand, messaging, digital, go-to-market strategy and product launch, corporate communications, advertising, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), public relations and event marketing. The Director of Marketing is a hands-on team player who is comfortable with ambiguity and change and actively contributes to the implementation of marketing plans.

  • Create, manage and execute all marketing strategies and lead generation strategies and develop plans to execute.
  • Develop and implement Symbria’s brand awareness and messaging strategies.
  • Partner with Sales and Operations; develop a strong, collaborative relationship.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and CRM.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for solution offerings and new product or business line launches.
  • Establish and manage relationships with marketing vendors.
  • Define and own marketing Key Performance Indicators across client awareness, engagement, and acquisition.
  • Define, compile, interpret, and report key metrics tied to company growth, sales execution and marketing activities. Own the CRM.
  • Provide oversight for marketing of events, trade shows, public relations and advertising.
  • Any and all duties as assigned.


Management Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage department budget.
  • Engage the team to carry out and attain the mission and the goals of the department. Live and fully communicate Symbria’s vision and values.
  • Develop an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.
  • Identify training and career development needs and work with employees to achieve growth in these areas.
  • Develop and motivate staff members to improve performance. Develop individual short-term goals and objectives aligned with the department’s strategy. Continuously valuate performance through employee discussions and communicate performance results.
  • Develop long-range departmental objectives that includes detailed tactics, including costs/benefits, resources, and schedules.
  • Communicate corporate and company policies and procedures to staff members.
  • Work with Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ appropriate staffing levels.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Liberal Arts or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Marketing experience in business-to-business environment; minimum 10 years of experience.
  • Experience building strategic marketing plans.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation technologies (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.) and digital channels.
  • Experience building, managing and motivating a team along with engaging key stakeholders and motivating relevant communities.
  • Passion for senior health and wellness.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing innovative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office®: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Healthcare marketing experience, strongly desired.
