Overview

Symbria Rx Services is seeking a team oriented, experienced pharmacy technician who shares our commitment to ensuring the health and wellness of seniors. The Ideal candidate will be a tech savvy, quick study with the ability to wear multiple hats. Our state-of-the-art Long Term Care Pharmacy is located in Lee’s Summit, MO.

 

Position Summary

 

The primary purpose of this position is to provide computer data entry of prescription orders and assist the pharmacist in the preparation of medications for distribution to Long-Term Care (LTC) communities based on physician orders, achieved by following departmental policies and procedures within the scope of pharmacy standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assists the pharmacist(s) on duty as their primary responsibility; performing these duties as priority.
  • Fills orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Develops knowledge of pharmacy policies and procedures and complies with them.
  • Assists in toting area for medication deliveries as necessary.
  • Any and all duties as assigned by pharmacists or managers.

Shift days/times: 

  • 8 hour shifts will be during hours of operation: Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, Saturday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, and Sunday: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm.
  • In-depth scheduling details will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Pharmacy Technician License in the state of IL.
  • Previous pharmacy experience required; long-term care setting(s) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Brand/Generic drugs and medical terminology.
  • Strong data entry/typing skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
