Symbria is currently seeking a Therapy Technician for a Part-Time (20-30 hours a week/4-6 hours a day) role on our growing Rehabilitation Team to serving our clients at a leading Continuing Care Retirement Community in the Wallingford, CT area. Position Summary


Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant a Therapy Tech will assist in making the therapy sessions productive by keeping the therapy treatment area clean and organized along with performing administrative duties that will facilitate the efficient functioning of the therapy department.


  • Provide assistance where needed in the rehabilitation department.
  • File and copy documentation done by therapists in the department.
  • Maintain forms and supplies needed within the department.
  • Assist with patient transportation.
  • Assist the Program Manager in projects that support the department.
  • Submit billing information to Symbria Rehab.


  • Must be able to withstand prolonged or considerable walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Must be able to complete a max assist patient transfer (75% employee, 25% patient) independently.
  • Must be able to otherwise position or transfer patients as well as supplies and equipment.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity and hearing to perform required therapy skills.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Receive and demonstrate competence in administration of therapeutic exercise program outlined by the physical therapist.
  • Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service.
