We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IV Pharmacy Technician to join our EMPLOYEE-OWNED TEAM! As an IV Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide essential support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 😊

 

Work Schedule:

  • Week 1: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm
  • Week 2: Tuesday-Saturday 6am-2:30pm
  • Rotating holiday and available to cover PTO

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare IV solutions, including calculation and compounding of IV’s according to physician’s prescription with 100% accuracy.
  • Process IV orders through the pharmacy software system.
  • Set up new IV compounds in the pharmacy software system utilizing the IV price code table.
  • Create and maintain resident IV folder in the paperless software system.
  • Follow aseptic technique while compounding in IV hood.
  • Track usage of IV pumps sent to communities and arrange for retrieval.
  • Properly dispose of expired/returned IV solutions.
  • Meet daily deadlines of scheduled medication deliveries.
  • Assist and maintain accurate IV inventory.
  • Submit daily insurance claims and adjudicate any IV rejections.
  • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly cleaning responsibilities that are in compliance with the standard 797 codes for IV Room maintenance.
  • Must complete IV Room and temperature logs with 100% accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Pharmacy Technician license and Certification (CPhT) as per state requirements.
  • IV experience required.
