Symbria Rx Services is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to add to our growing team at our Pharmacy located in Woodrige, IL!

Automation Pharmacy Technicians are core to the Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy model, supporting automated workflows which free pharmacists to focus on clinical care.

Symbria Automation Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacist in the preparation of medications for distribution to LTC communities based on physician orders, achieved by following departmental policies and procedures within the scope of pharmacy standards.

 

Work Hours:

 

Monday through Friday from 5:30pm-2:00am

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assists the pharmacist(s) on duty as their primary responsibility; performing these duties as priority.
  • Fills orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Develops knowledge of pharmacy policies and procedures and complies with them.
  • Any and all duties as assigned by pharmacists or managers.

Dutes:

  • Accurately package new and refill orders in the pharmacy software system with emphasis on correct drug product and quatities.
  • Accurately dispense medication strips for new orderes using Automated packagaing systems.
  • Accurately prepare totes for delivery by scanning barcodes and placing all paperwork in the tote and staging the proper area of the pharmacy for delivery.
  • Monitor supply of pre-packaged medication cards and initate packing of new cards when supply is low.
  • Prepare external compounds neatly and accurately.
  • Meet the daily deadlines of scheduled medication deliveries.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily is necessary and the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Knowledge of business English, spelling and commercial arithmetic with ability to write in a clear and legible manner.
  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions.
  • General computer knowledge including Windows applications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a flexible schedule as operational needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

 Qualifications preferred:

  • Pharmacy experience; minimum one year.
