Symbria is seeking an Area Manager for the CAR-East Region to provide regional management oversight in partnership with the Regional Director in addition to having direct management responsibility of an assigned community (Program Manager responsibilities).

As Area Manager, under the direction of the Regional Director of Operations, you will assist in the oversight of clinical and financial aspects in additional communities as assigned and will represent Symbria Rehab at corporate meetings, to review clinical data and collaborate on directives.

 

NOTE: This is NOT a remote role.  The Area Manager will be housed as a Program Manager/DOR at our of our senior communities and will treat a percentage of time.  Preference for local candidates in the Lancaster, Lehigh, Lebanon, Berks and Bucks Counties at this time. 

Responsibilities

PROGRAM MANAGER - FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise Symbria Rehab therapy staff and therapy activities in the community.
  • Coordinate therapy services with the nursing department and report information presented at interdisciplinary team meeting.
  • Monitor staff productivity and staffing requirements per patient caseload.
  • Ensure program compliance with the requirements of regulation agencies.
  • Collect statistical data to monitor services utilization.
  • Coordinate internal and external marketing activities in conjunction with community staff to promote awareness of Symbria Rehab Therapy Services Department within the community.
  • Monitor outcomes of the rehabilitation program.

AREA MANAGER – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the oversight of assigned Symbria Rehab communities to include, but not limited to the following:
  • Supervise all therapy activities at assigned communities.
  • Clinical and financial aspects including ongoing customer service by assisting in the supervision of Rehab Program Managers and therapists within the assigned communities.
  • Oversee therapy services with the nursing departments.
  • Monitor staff productivity and staffing requirements per patient caseload.
  • Mentor assigned Program Managers to assure clinical best practices/efficient financial
  • Ensure program compliance with the requirements of regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor outcomes of the rehabilitation program.
  • Review chart audit reports from Symbria compliance team and mentor assigned Program Managers as needed.
  • Collect statistical data to monitor services utilization, timely documentation and fiscally responsible performance.
  • Develop long-range departmental objectives including details (costs/benefits, resources, schedules) for meeting those objectives.
  • Meet quarterly with community Administrator to review Clinical Outcome Reports and assure satisfaction with Symbria therapy services.
  • Attend assigned corporate meetings to review Symbria clinical data and collaborate on directives; assure implementation and compliance per company expectations and direction.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Rehabilitation professional with acute care, long-term care and/or rehabilitation experience.
  • Licensed clinician Therapist (physical, occupational, or speech language) in respective state(s) of service.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and multiple sites.
  • Demonstrate professional appearance, excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and basic math skills.
  • Strong organizational and effective interpersonal skills with detailed focus on customer service skills with ability to multi-task and manage multiple sites.
  • Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED


• Bachelor’s Degree in business or healthcare industry.
• Clinical experience, minimum four years.
• Managerial and marketing experience.
