Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician supports the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program by ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and standardization of quality event
documentation across all pharmacy locations.
Position Details:
• Ensure timely entry of all quality events in accordance with defined QAPI reporting timelines.
• Review quality event submissions for proper classification, completeness, and adherence to defined QAPI standards.
• Monitor and follow up on missing, delayed, or incomplete quality event entries.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies, trends, and risk areas.
• Attend monthly QAPI meeting(s) and QAPI Committee meeting.
• Prepare meeting agenda in EOS format, capture meeting notes (cascading messages, to do’s), and ensure issues list is complete prior to the start of each meeting.
• Support QAPI reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis.
• Promote compliance with QAPI policies and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and Symbria legal counsel when required.
• Any and all duties as assigned.
To perform this job successfully, the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily is necessary and the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Prior pharmacy technician or healthcare operations experience, minimum two (2) years.
• Pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or xCPT).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while effectively meeting deadlines.
• Ability to maintain organization, multi-task and prioritize assignments within deadlines as well as strong follow-up skills.
• Position demands extensive teamwork with associates located in multiple departments/locations across the company.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications Preferred:
• Multi-site LTC pharmacy operations experience.
• Experience with Framework LTC, Framework ECM, and/or DocuTrack.
• Experience with quality improvement, QAPI, or Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs and monitoring
