    Symbria's IT team is expanding and is looking for an innovative Software Engineer to join the team in Warrenville, IL!  As Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design and implementation of internal software, solutions, applications and integrations to support Symbria’s day to day operations.

    • Acquire and maintain knowledge of Symbria’s software products and third-party vendor software solutions.
    • Integrating/linking internal and external systems using off the shelf and custom solutions. Working directly with internal and external clients, and/or vendors.
    • Participate/lead in design discussions, produce project designs as needed.
    • Implement design solutions.
    • Write code to properly implement design specifications.
    • Document work at the code level and other documentation sources.
    • Provide level-2 support for the helpdesk troubleshooting support requests requiring a developer’s knowledge.
    • Effectively use a revision control system.
    • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
    • Periodically perform installations of software upgrades during off business hours.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
    • Proficient in any of the following programming languages: Java, C#, JavaScript.
    • Knowledge of SQL (writing queries/analyzing queries/databases).
    • Experience in any of the following technologies/scripts is a plus: SAML, Webservices (REST/SOAP), HL7, ERX, NCPDP and other Healthcare interfaces.
    • Familiarity with setting up and using an Integrated Development Environment.
