    Symbria, a 100% Employee Owned healthcare company headquartered in Warrenville, IL, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting and Finance Team. This role is ideal for an entry-level or early career professional looking to gain a wide breadth of accounting experiences. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for accurately preparing journal entries, analyzing financial information and preparing financial statements. There will also be an opportunity to complete special projects along the way.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform month-end closing activities, including preparation of various journal entries.
    • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
    • Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
    • Support operational accounting personnel in the areas of A/P, A/R, or Payroll as needed.
    • Assist with monthly preparation of financial reports and financial statements under the guidance of the Accounting Manager.
    • Act as a resource during the annual audit by providing supporting documentation as requested.
    • Perform special projects, as required, to assist the department and the Company in achieving its goals and objectives

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
    • Knowledge of accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
    • Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare management reports, financial statements, and projections.
    • Knowledge of accounting software applications, including Sage 300 preferred.
    • Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, accurate and motivated, with good communication and problem solving skills.
